Family Mosaic has today unveiled the first show homes at Reflections, the company's development of affordable new homes on City Road, central London. The 14-storey tower comprises 50 one- and two-bedroom apartments, many with superb views over the City Road Basin, off the Regent's Canal, or the panorama of London. With Family Mosaic's shared ownership scheme, it costs eligible first-time buyers from just £94,500 for a 35 per cent share of a one-bedroom flat and £122,500 for a 35 per cent share of a two-bedroom apartment, based on a full market value of £270,000 and £350,000 respectively.

These London affordable new homes are within easy walking distance of bustling Islington, Clerkenwell and Hoxton, served by a host of bus services on City Road and tube stations at Angel and Old Street, which also offers a National Rail service. Transport hubs at King's Cross St Pancras, Euston and Liverpool Street are all just a few minutes away. The canal towpath also offers a cycling and walking route to North and East London.

Matching the modern architectural design of Reflections is the high-quality interior specification of these spacious properties, which is comparable to many contemporary open-market new homes in London. The kitchens are very eye-catching, with the latest fitted units and a complement of integrated appliances including hob, oven, extractor fan, fridge-freezer and washer-dryer. The bathrooms are large and fitted with stylish white sanitaryware and neutral tiling, and there's oak flooring to all other rooms. There's high-speed wireless broadband and video entry too, and private balconies to some properties.

"At Family Mosaic, we see no reason why affordability should mean compromising on location, comfort or style," says Lauren Nicholson of Family Mosaic. "Reflections is one of our most glamorous developments yet, offering truly aspirational living at truly affordable prices. Central London properties are desirable in themselves: what sets Reflections apart is its proximity to the canal basin, which provides much-needed space for reflection amid the non-stop excitement of living in the capital."

Ownership at this scheme is open to house hunters living or working in the London Boroughs of Islington, Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or the City of Westminster, with a household income of less than £60,000, purchasing their first and only home. Though the minimum ownership share is 35 per cent, with subsidised rent payable on the balance, owners can buy further shares, a process known as staircasing, as and when they can afford to do so.

There are three show apartments to view at Reflections, all decorated to demonstrate different moods, showing off the flexibility of each design. Viewings are by appointment, and the sales team already have a busy diary with the first batch of interested buyers this weekend.
