Banner Homes Plans New Build Homes In Chigwell, Essex, With Acquisition Of Two Sites

Luxury new homes developer Banner Homes has announced the acquisition of two new prestigious development sites for new-homes in Chigwell, Essex, both with existing planning permission.

The first site at 114-118 Manor Road has planning permission for 11 large apartments with basement parking and will be the first development of apartments that backs directly onto the exclusive Chigwell Golf Club. The site at 17 Forest Lane has planning permission to build two large, six-bedroom detached homes. Banner Homes intends to submit new planning applications to revise both permissions to maximise the quality of the developments, and, assuming the new plans are approved, work is expected to start on each of the sites later in 2011.

So far in 2011 Banner Homes has completed 15 new land deals. Of these 15 acquisitions, four have been bought with planning permission and the remaining 11 are subject to planning deals, and the two Chigwell sites are further indications of Banner Homes' development ambitions. Peter Blades, land director for Banner Homes Central said of the recent Chigwell acquisitions: "We are delighted with these latest acquisitions which signal Banner Homes' continuing investment in new opportunities and is a clear sign of Banner's commitment of expansion into Essex."

Part of the Essex 'Golden Triangle', Chigwell has become a desirable place to live, with properties on the two roads on which Banner Homes has acquired sites particularly sought after. Chigwell offers a range of sport and leisure facilities, including nearby Epping Forest, which is a popular spot for walking, running, horse-riding and mountain-biking, and local golf courses, while the area also has a good selection of schools. The sites are also situated for easy access to local amenities, including bars and restaurants; however, if you struggle to find a seat among Chigwell's famous footballer residents and the cast and crew of The Only Way is Essex, great transport links mean the leisure and entertainment offerings of neighbouring towns and London are never far away.

The eventual new-build homes in Essex will also make ideal commuter properties. Both sites are within a 15-minute walk of a Chigwell or Grange Hill tube stations, both of which are on the Central Line and just a 40-minute journey to London Liverpool Street. The proposed developments are also just a 45-minute drive to London Stansted Airport, via the nearby M11, while the North Circular and M25 are easily accessible for journeys around London.
